Solidarity in Madrid with the Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas
Madrid hosted a solidarity bike ride in which around 250 cyclists took part, pedalling to demand the immediate release of the 136 Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas in Gaza.
Participation of the Israeli ambassador
The Israeli ambassador to Spain, Rodica Radian-Gordon, expressed moving words at the rally organised at the arrival point, at the Casa del Reloj, in the Junta de Distrito de Arganzuela.
The initiative was organised by the Jewish sports organisation Maccabi and the Forum of Relatives of Israeli Hostages in Spain, with the collaboration of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain.
The international initiative has the backing of the famous cyclist Chris Froome, five-time winner of the Tour de France, who joins the initiative and asks that they dedicate their ride on 14 January to call for the release of the hostages held in Gaza.
