Spain opens a branch of its Consulate in Benghazi

Spanish Consulate in Libya
In an unprecedented move in more than seventy years, a branch of the Spanish Consulate has been officially opened in Benghazi.

The office will provide various consular services, including those related to studies, work, tourism, and medical treatment, as well as other related services.

The opening of this office is in accordance with the guidelines of the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government, Dr. Osama Hammad, aimed at bringing services closer to Libyan citizens and foreigners legally residing in the country, as part of a policy of accessibility and improvement of the quality of consular services.

This event reflects the security and institutional stability enjoyed in the cities and regions under the control of the Libyan government, thanks to the efforts of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces. It also embodies the positive development of bilateral relations between Libya and the Kingdom of Spain, two friendly countries united by cooperation and mutual respect.

From now on, those wishing to obtain a Schengen visa from the Kingdom of Spain must submit their applications and complete the necessary procedures through the authorized office that was officially inaugurated this week, in the presence of the Spanish consul, Manuel Bayena Pedrosa.

The office is located in the Al-Jawhara shopping center, in the Sidi Hussein area of Benghazi.
