Inmaculada Sánchez, mayoress of Conil, has expressed her condolences and solidarity with the Moroccan people through social networks for the severe earthquake suffered by the North African country.

The councillor of Conil Town Hall has sent through social networks and a letter addressed to the people of Morocco, her most sincere condolences to the families after the natural disaster.

"Nothing is more difficult for a nation and for a political leader to see and feel how a natural phenomenon devastates the lives and customs of a people, of your people". This is how the mayoress of Conil begins her manifesto to the media.

"From the Town Hall of Conil we express our unconditional support to the victims of the earthquake, a tragedy that has claimed thousands of lives and injured.  Our love and support to the families and the services that we have sent from our country, from our autonomous community, and from our province of Cádiz to help rescue and rebuild the areas that have been left unrecognisable after this tragic event," Sánchez added.

"We are reassured to know that a team of six firefighters with four dogs from the LPG, a canine unit, together with the Malaga firefighters and three more vehicles will provide help in this disaster that has befallen our sister town," she acknowledges.

"We have to rise to the occasion, and in this sense, we thank the press for reporting from their tribune how much is happening, without amalgamation, contributing to add solidarity in this catastrophe. For our part, we will send food and basic necessities," she concludes.
