The television programme produced by Atalayar and the Universidad Europea de Madrid also tackled the convulsive situation in Peru and the new German government in its second episode

Atalayar en Europea TV

Atalayar en Europea TV, the programme produced by Atalayar Entre dos orillas and the Universidad Europea de Madrid, offered its second instalment under the direction of Javier Fernández Arribas and presented by Rosa María Mateos. On this occasion, the journalist Pedro González and the professor José María Peredo Pombo took part.

In episode 2 of Atalayar on European TV, three relevant topics were discussed, including the crisis in Ukraine, with US President Joe Biden issuing a serious warning to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin not to interfere militarily in the conflict between Ukrainians and pro-Russians in areas such as the Donbas. Biden told Putin that if he attacks Ukraine again, the US response will be harsher than in 2014, when Russia invaded the Crimean peninsula.

On the other hand, the situation of the Peruvian government was also analysed, at a difficult stage due to the opening of an impeachment process against the president, Pedro Castillo. An initiative that failed by only six votes.

The new German government was also discussed in depth. The Social Democrat Olaf Scholz has already become German Chancellor thanks to a pact between the Social Democrats, Greens and Liberals. The pandemic and a foreign policy for a strong Europe are the main points to be pursued by the new leader of the German government.
