"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, deals with international current affairs every week.
The war in Ukraine continues to take centre stage. This Thursday, in his meeting at the White House with the Ukrainian president, Volodymir Zelenski, President Joe Biden announced a new shipment of military aid to the country invaded by Russia, worth 325 million dollars (305 million euros), and declared that the first Abrams battle tanks will arrive in Kiev next week. Meanwhile, Zelenski is pleading with Republicans to maintain aid to Ukraine.
For its part, Poland stops supplying arms to Ukraine in response to the crisis over the export of agricultural products. Prime Minister Morawiecki says that the flow of arms supplies from other countries through his territory will continue.
Support for Ukraine also comes from the Community of Madrid. The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, presented an armoured ambulance to the Ukrainian ambassador, Sergii Pohoreltsev, which will leave from "kilometre zero" in the Spanish capital to help the population of this country, which is in a war zone. This shipment will be made possible thanks to donations from Madrid businessmen, through the CEOE Foundation, as part of its Business with Ukraine campaign.
As stated during the event, next to the Spanish Royal Court of Posts, "the liberal democracies of the West cannot accept a brutal act and against all law such as the invasion of Ukraine".
This specialised medical vehicle is a 4x4 made of ballistic steel, fully equipped to assist in social assistance and humanitarian aid. It has seats for helpers, a storage cupboard, an extraction stretcher, two 20-litre oxygen cylinders, four oxygen outlets with standard connectors, among other features. The fuel tank, windows and bulkheads are also specially protected. The ambulance has the flag of the Community of Madrid on its exterior.
The Community of Madrid has assisted 18,903 displaced Ukrainians since the beginning of the war in February last year, activating almost 80,706 services in areas such as health, education, transport and employment. Among other actions, 6,567 pupils have been enrolled in school, 15,803 transport tickets have been issued, 17,297 health cards have been issued and 924 people have been provided with temporary accommodation.
In addition, the network of Citizen Attention Offices has received 17,132 people from this country in person, and has answered 20,300 calls on the free telephone 900 822 833, with 1,285 tele-translation services for public employees. It has also provided help in its employment offices to 3,101 citizens of this nationality, of whom a thousand have already found a job.
The journalist María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will analyse all these issues related to the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory.
As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the war in Ukraine, the meeting between Joe Biden and Volodimir Zelenski, the UN General Assembly and the political relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel with the important diplomatic rapprochement between the two countries.
"De cara al mundo", Friday 22 September from 22:05 to 23:00.
