The war in Ukraine continues while elections are being held in Russia for three days with the already known result of Vladimir Putin's victory. Meanwhile, on Ukrainian territory, Russia's pressure is easing on several fronts.
Elsewhere, in the US presidential election race, Joe Biden and Donald Trump have secured the necessary delegates to be proclaimed by the Democratic and Republican parties as candidates for the US presidency in the November elections.
In addition, the Gaza war continues and criticism of Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is growing among US senators and domestically. Meanwhile, the United States is building a temporary port in Gaza for the distribution of humanitarian aid.
