"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, deals with international current affairs every week.

The Malian government bans the activity of political parties and restricts the activity of the media. The decree on political parties was passed after more than 80 parties and civil groups demanded presidential elections "as soon as possible", as well as an end to military rule.

The Sahel is a conflict zone that threatens the stability of the entire region. Several countries support the initiative to strengthen cooperation in the region with the option of a commercial outlet through Moroccan Atlantic ports for products from these countries in order to improve the economic and social situation.

Meanwhile, in the Middle East, US intelligence services warn of the possibility of an Iranian attack on Israel, in response to the death of a commander and other members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in the Damascus Consulate. Tehran is calibrating its response to avoid a direct and open confrontation with Israel.

Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues. Russia continues its bombardment of Ukrainian electrical installations while the government in Kiev calls on its allies to send anti-aircraft systems and approves a new law on military mobilisation that has caused controversy among the population.

The journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will take to the microphones of "De cara al mundo" to offer the most important clues on these issues.

As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the crisis in the Middle East with the Gaza war between Israel and Hamas and the threat of an attack by Iran on Israeli territory, the support of the United States for its Israeli ally in the region, the restriction of freedoms in Mali, the war in Ukraine, the political controversy in Venezuela with the confrontation between the Chavista government and the opposition, and the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the genocide in Rwanda.

"De cara al mundo", Friday 12 April from 22:05 to 23:00.
