‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses international current affairs on a weekly basis.

Israel and the United States continue to negotiate the scope of the Netanyahu government's response to Iran's latest attack. Joe Biden is trying to moderate the response so that it does not influence the final stretch of the election campaign and avoid an escalation of tension and a sharp rise in the price of oil.

Meanwhile, the United Nations denounces an Israeli attack on an observation tower of UN forces deployed between the Israeli-Lebanese border. Two blue helmets were slightly injured. And Israel continues its attacks against leaders of the terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon. To prevent the supply of weapons to Hezbollah from Syria, the Israeli army is attacking positions in the neighbouring country.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's President Volodimir Zelenski is on a new diplomatic tour to maintain contacts with the main European countries: France, Germany, the UK and Italy to present a possible peace plan that would put an end to the war by 2025.

In the first half of this year, another 400,000 Ukrainians (mostly women and children) have fled the country due to increased shelling of cities.

Meanwhile, the crisis in Venezuela continues. Days go by and the Chavista dictatorship remains in power while efforts for change are geared towards ensuring that Nicolás Maduro is not sworn in as president in January.

The journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will offer the most relevant clues before the microphones of ‘De cara al mundo’.

As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas; they will talk about the crisis in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine, the elections in the United States, the political conflict in Venezuela and Spain's international weight.

‘De cara al mundo’, Friday 11 October from 22:05 to 23:00.
