‘De cara al mundo’: international analysis on Onda Madrid

‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, tackles the world's current affairs every week. 

These days we are witnessing a host of meetings of international organisations. From the G20, to the Pacific countries in Lima where Joe Biden and China's Xi Jinping coincide, the COP29 in Azerbaijan with little participation of relevant leaders and the very decaffeinated Ibero-American Summit in Ecuador, where the King of Spain is the main figure... 

Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to announce the appointments of the next heads of his administration. The latest has been Robert Kennedy Jr. for the Department of Health. An avowed anti-vaccine, he has caused pharmaceutical companies to fall on the stock market. The meeting between Joe Biden and Donald Trump has finally established an orderly transfer of power.  

On the other hand, recent international developments, especially the election of Trump, have overshadowed attention on Gaza and Lebanon. Israel's military operations continue as speculation continues about Trump's support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

As for the war in Ukraine, this week marks two years since the liberation of Kherson, but far from returning to normal after the Russian occupation, the city has become one of the most heavily bombed cities in Ukraine. Everyone is waiting to see what Trump will do from January onwards.

The journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and the expert international analyst Lucas Martín will offer the keys to the ‘De cara al mundo’ microphones. 

As every day, the talk show will be hosted by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas; they will discuss Donald Trump's new administration, the war in Ukraine, Israel's war in Gaza and the Lebanese border, and the international summits taking place at the moment.
