‘De cara al mundo‘: international analysis on Onda Madrid

‘De cara al mundo’, the Onda Madrid programme directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, tackles international current affairs every week.
Spain and other European countries suffered a historic blackout. The collaboration of neighbouring countries such as France and Morocco has helped to restore electricity in several regions of Spain that have suffered the major blackout, along with Portugal, for reasons that are still unknown. Energy must be considered a matter of national security.
José María Peredo Pombo, professor of Communication and International Relations at the European University of Madrid, will discuss the situation in ‘De cara al mundo’ (Facing the world).
Meanwhile, Pope Francis I's successor will be elected in the conclave that will begin on 7 May. The funeral held in St. Peter's Square brought together heads of state and government from more than 150 countries.
Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues and the situation is being assessed: negotiating positions, double-tap attacks, ideas for reconstruction, the return of the body of a journalist who was detained by Russia in the occupied territories, etc. We reported on this in October's programme, and signs of severe torture have been found. There are also testimonies from Reporters Without Borders and other NGOs about the 30 Ukrainian journalists who have been imprisoned.
Journalist and correspondent María Senovilla and expert international analyst Lucas Martín will analyse the most relevant points.
As every day, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. The discussion will focus on the historic blackout, the succession of Pope Francis I and the war in Ukraine.
‘De cara al mundo’, Friday 2 May from 10.05 p.m. to 11 p.m.
