"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, sheds light weekly on the key issues in international politics.

The European Union is going through an energy and economic crisis as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, among other issues. Miguel Ángel Benedicto, journalist and professor of International Relations at the Complutense University of Madrid, will explain the situation.

On the other hand, the Ukrainians are gaining positions in the war against the Russian army thanks to new weapons received from Western allies, while the Russian armed forces are attacking civilian buildings. This situation will be addressed by Lucas Martín, an expert international analyst.

In Europe, the resignation of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, which was not accepted by President Sergio Mattarella, is also viewed with some concern. To analyse the situation of the Italian political scene, we will have Pablo Martín de Santa Olalla, professor at the ESERP University Centre and author of the book "Historia de la Italia republicana, 1946-2021" (History of Republican Italy, 1946-2021).

The programme will also analyse the economic and investment opportunities that Morocco offers for Spanish entrepreneurs, explaining how business is done and other details of the Moroccan business landscape, such as legal security. Enrique Becerra, administrator of Initium Cerámicas, will be in the microphones of the programme to analyse the issue.

As every Friday, Atalayar's regular contributors Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, will be in charge of the discussion, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. It will cover US President Joe Biden's tour of the Middle East, the situation on the ground in Ukraine and the energy crisis in the European Union.
