"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses the international scene on a weekly basis.
Saudi Arabia leads the imminent peace in Yemen. Riyadh redirects the future of the Middle East with a commitment to peace. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is reactivating relations with Iran, resuming ties with Syria and negotiating an end to hostilities with the Houthis in this regard. This is a historic moment for Yemen, the scene of the world's largest humanitarian catastrophe, and it could reach peace in the coming weeks after more than nine years of a devastating and uninterrupted civil war. Talks to end hostilities between Yemenis and Houthis are already taking place in Sana'a, but this time it is Saudi Arabia that is leading the most hopeful negotiations since the war began in 2014. José Ignacio Castro Torres, colonel in the Spanish Army and senior analyst at the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies, will talk to us about the process underway in Yemen and the relevant role of the Saudi kingdom.
The microphones of "De cara al mundo" will also discuss the controversy over the leaks in the US Pentagon. The FBI has arrested the person allegedly responsible for the leaks of secret Pentagon documents. The 21-year-old, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, is now in the custody of the US authorities.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden said he is in Northern Ireland to "listen" and support the peace process in the British province, which is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday agreement with the devolved government institutions suspended. Rogelio Alonso, professor of Political Science at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and author of the now re-published book "Killing for Ireland", will provide keys to understanding these issues.
On the other hand, the war in Ukraine continues to rage. In fact, the leaks of the Pentagon papers are putting the Ukrainian government and NATO countries on edge. Meanwhile, the announced counteroffensive is still being prepared. Lucas Martin, an expert international analyst, and María Senovilla, special envoy to Ukraine, will comment on all aspects of the conflict on Ukrainian territory.
As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the peace process in Yemen led by Saudi Arabia, Joe Biden's visit to Northern Ireland, the leak of US Pentagon papers and the war in Ukraine.
"De cara al mundo", Friday 14 April from 22:05 to 23:00.
