Dubai Expo 2020 doubles number of authorised ticket resellers

More than 2,500 online travel agents, tour operators, hotel groups and airlines have registered as authorised ticket resellers (ATRs) for the Dubai World Expo 2020. The Expo will run from 1 October this year to 31 March 2022, and will be attended by more than 190 participants - organisations and countries.
Each participating country will have its own pavilion where visitors can enjoy immersive cultural experiences and discover what makes each country unique. There will also be specific districts on sustainability, mobility and opportunities.
Proof of the Expo's commitment to sustainability is the achievement of an "excellent" rating from CEEQUAL, making it the first project in the Middle East to achieve such a rating. CEEQUAL is an evidence-based sustainability assessment and rating system for civil engineering, infrastructure, landscaping and public space projects.
Expo 2020 announced at Arabian Travel Market 2021 that it has doubled the number of RAE since before the pandemic began, offering visitors unique experiences across a wide range of budgets and preferences. On their website they provide a list of SARs where travel packages are available through approved companies in each country.
The SARs currently represent more than 100 countries, covering key markets such as Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the United States, Russia and Europe. This ensures that visitors of all ages, nationalities and interests can attend the event and make the most of their visit with value-added travel packages.

In addition to being a global incubator for new ideas and a powerful launch pad for business, Dubai Expo 2020 plans to have diverse entertainment for all tastes, including culinary experiences, technology, architecture and culture.
Regarding COVID protection measures, in April, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed al-Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, announced that the vaccination programme will be extended to all official representatives of countries participating in Expo 2020. There will also be thermal chambers, disinfection stations, mandatory use of face masks, social distancing control and free vaccinations for all official participants.
The Expo will be run in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Dubai Health Authority in line with the latest advice from the World Health Organisation to ensure the health safety of the event.
