The "la Caixa" Foundation's Incorpora socio-occupational integration programme provided 40,760 jobs for people in situations of vulnerability in 2022, with the help of nearly 500 social organisations and 1,200 technicians. This was possible thanks to the collaboration of 15,633 companies in this social responsibility project. This year, there has been a significant increase in the number of permanent contracts, which represents an average of 33% of the total, due to the entry into force of the new labour reform in April.

The latest data from the Incorpora programme reflect the recovery in sectors that suffered the consequences of the pandemic and which are now once again generating employment. In particular, logistics and commerce, hotels and catering, cleaning and social and health care.

The new needs that have arisen in the digital era have led to a transformation in the labour market, both for companies and customers. For this reason, in order to reduce the digital divide in the search for employment, the "la Caixa" Foundation and the Accenture Foundation have promoted the "Working in digital" training programme to accompany people in vulnerable situations. Its aim is to promote digitalisation to improve their technological skills and thus achieve their social inclusion and employability. In 2022, 12,574 people participated in this training.

"Having a job is a first step towards the social inclusion of people in vulnerable situations, as it improves their autonomy and allows them to recognise their potential. And, for this, it is essential to have a network of support through technicians, social organisations and committed companies", stresses the Deputy Director General of the "la Caixa" Foundation, Marc Simón.

Of the 40,760 insertions, 22,209 were women and 18,551 were men. Of the total, approximately 25% (9,871) were people with disabilities. More than 75% of the total (30,889) correspond to people at risk or in a situation of exclusion: young people, victims of gender violence, long-term unemployed and ex-prisoners, among others.

Likewise, 37,401 of the contracts were made in Spain, and 3,359 abroad, as the programme is also being implemented in Portugal, Morocco, Poland and Hungary.

The Incorpora programme, launched in 2006, is aimed at the social and occupational integration of people. To this end, it builds bridges between companies and the nearly 500 social organisations that develop it, with which the "la Caixa" Foundation has just renewed its collaboration agreements for the seventeenth consecutive year.

In addition, since 2016, Incorpora has been running a line of self-employment thanks to which people at risk of social exclusion are participating in a new way of integrating into the labour market. People with an entrepreneurial attitude and capacity can develop a business plan to create their own company, supported by a personalised itinerary, with training and support provided by the programme through 45 Incorpora self-employment points throughout Spain. Thanks to this initiative, in 2022 Incorpora assisted 3,188 people interested in starting a business and facilitated the creation of 1,440 new microenterprises.
