This distinction had only previously been awarded to the city of Malaga. Following the presentation of the award, Isabel Paredes congratulated the Jerez City Council, with which the Andalusian Regional Government works in a wide range of areas related to human rights, based on a joint commitment to the welfare of families and the protection of the most vulnerable groups.

On the occasion of this recognition, the Observatory and Jerez City Council have collaborated in the celebration of the training day 'Education in human rights and social networks', in which the delegate of Education, José Ángel Aparicio; the territorial delegate, Isabel Pareces; the dean of the Faculty of Education of the UCA, Noemí Serrano; and the representative of Cadiz of the Digital Agency of Andalusia, Francisco José Naranjo, have participated.
