The various attacks committed around the world in the name of Islam have tarnished this religious faith and many people believe there is a direct link.

In the wake of these attacks committed in the name of Islam, more people believe that the root problem of these atrocities lies in the faith that these terrorists share: Islam.

In view of this, the Ahmadiyya Community of Spain is organising a conference in Madrid entitled ‘Keys to peace in Islam’, which will identify fundamental concepts at the heart of Islam that will help to distinguish between authentic Islam and Islam in the extremist sense: jihad, the role of women in Islamic society: rights and obligations, religious freedom, freedom of expression, justice, etc.

Authentic Islam is a religion that:

Rejects any form of terrorism.
Believes in a ‘Jihad’ through the pen.
Establishes equality and dignity for women.
Defends freedom of conscience, religion and expression.
Advocates the separation of religion and state.
Formulates the universal declaration of human rights.
Supports the concept of the GLOBAL VILLAGE: the universality of the Prophethood and respect for other faiths.
Advocates justice in all spheres of human activity.
Inculcates selfless service to others.
