The Commandery of the Faithful Peace Institute

The Commandery of the Faithful Peace Institute was inaugurated during the International Conference for Peace and Interfaith Dialogue, held at Bar-Ilan University. The event coincided with a diplomatic IFTAR organized in honor of Morocco, highlighting its commitment to coexistence between cultures and religions.
The initiative aims to strengthen efforts to promote peace and interfaith dialogue, with an emphasis on tolerance and cooperation. It is part of a broader effort to create a space for discussion that fosters mutual understanding and the harmonious development of societies.
The conference brought together delegations from several countries, including the United States, Germany, Great Britain, France, and Canada, as well as religious, cultural, and political leaders. Morocco was represented by Faïçal Marjani, president of the Maroc Coexistence Association, and Zakariya Bellahrach, a researcher in religious diplomacy at Mohammed V University in Rabat.
The fight against extremism
The Moroccan delegation highlighted the role of the Commanderie des Croyants in promoting tolerance and combating extremism. It emphasized the importance of the Moroccan religious model, based on a moderate and inclusive approach, which aims to prevent radicalization through education and religious guidance. This model is a bulwark against hate speech and violence, ensuring solid spiritual security.
The initiative was widely welcomed by participants, who expressed their commitment to cooperate on joint projects to promote peace and dialogue. This new institute thus strengthens Morocco's position as a player in interfaith dialogue and peacebuilding at the international level.
