- Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
- Salvation cannot be monopolised by any religion.
- Establishment of equality and dignity of women.
- Peace mediation in conflicts.
The Ahmadiyya Community of Islam is a religious, peace-promoting organisation founded in 1889 by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in Qadian, India, with its international headquarters in London.
It is dedicated to spreading Islam as a message of peace and its moral and spiritual values. It has established communities in most of the countries of the world with tens of millions of followers.
The first branch was founded in Spain in 1946 when its first missionary, Don Karam Ilahi Zafar, arrived in the country from India. In 1982 they inaugurated the first mosque in Spain, after more than six centuries, in the town of Pedro Abad in Cordoba, where they have their Spanish headquarters, registered with the Spanish Ministry of Justice under number 073. Their motto is: ‘Love for All, Hate for None’.
Because of their pacifist and reconciliatory understanding of Islamic teachings, this religious community is being persecuted by Muslims themselves in their home country of Pakistan. Today this persecution has also spread to Bangladesh, Indonesia, Algeria, Burkina Faso, etc. UN human rights groups, in their reports, call for an immediate end to discrimination and violence against Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan.
The event will take place in the Salón Grados of the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences, Avda. Blasco Ibáñez, 30. 46010 Valencia. Admission is free.
