WHO: attacks on health facilities in Ukraine exceed 100 now

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has already verified 102 attacks on health facilities or equipment in the war in Ukraine, in which 73 people have been killed and 51 injured, the organisation said in a statement.
Most of the attacks have been on health network facilities, although in 13 cases vehicles, including ambulances, were targeted, the WHO said.
"We are outraged that these attacks are continuing, in violation of international humanitarian law," said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who reiterated his call for Russia to end the conflict.
These attacks will have long-term effects on the Ukrainian health system, the WHO warns, noting that nearly a thousand health facilities are in conflict zones or close to the front lines.
"Health professionals across the country are putting their lives at risk to help those in need of health care, and neither they nor their patients should be targeted," insisted WHO's representative in Ukraine, Jarno Habicht.
