The Algerian national team emerged as winners after defeating Tunisia at the Al Bayt stadium in Qatar. Algeria managed to take the lead early in the ninth minute of the match after midfielder Amir Sayoud scored the first goal.

Tunisia's attempts to find an equaliser were buried by Yacime Brahimi's second goal in the 98th minute after German referee Daniel Siebert had added three minutes to the match. The Tunisian team, including the goalkeeper, tried to get the desired equaliser during extra time, but failed to prevail.

At this point, the Algerian defence managed to gain position and it was at this point that Djamel Benlamri struck a strong shot into the middle of the pitch, where Brahimi was positioned and in a lethal counter-attack managed to seal the final victory for Algeria.

It was a heavy defeat for the Tunisians, who are now on the verge of their second cup. For their part, the "green foxes of the desert" have lived up to the expectations placed on them after winning all their previous matches with relative ease, except for a draw with Egypt in the group stage when both teams had already qualified.

The Algerian fans celebrated with emotion the final result that made them the undisputed champions of the championship, a North African derby that has been lived with enthusiasm in Al Bayt and that, in the end, managed to be tinged with green.
