Four Galacticos on the River Nile

With a humorous comment: "I met these people in Egypt", the Portuguese Luis Figo, winner of four Spanish Leagues, four Italian Leagues and holder of the 2000 Ballon d'Or, poses in the photo with the Brazilian Roberto Carlos, winner of two Brazilian Leagues, four Spanish Leagues, three Champions League titles and World Cup winner with Brazil in 2002, the year in which he won the Silver Ball. 

Next to them, "Il Due", Michel Salgado, who after ten years at Real Madrid won four Spanish Leagues and two Champions League titles. 

Finally, Fernando Hierro, who after 14 years at Real Madrid won five Spanish Leagues and three Champions League titles. 

All of them were part of the Real Madrid of the "Galacticos", the nickname given to the team formed by Florentino Pérez during his first period as president of Real Madrid. 

Along with those in the photo, the Galacticos who completed this great team were mainly Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo Nazario, David Beckham, Raúl Gonzalez, Iker Casillas and Guti.  

Míchel Salgado knows Egypt well, having worked alongside Javier Aguirre as assistant coach of the Egyptian national team. He coached Egyptian striker Salah. Although he only lasted one year. Several times he declared that he likes Egypt and Cairo. He was probably the one who organised the meeting with the teammates.
