Iran: fourth day of strike by workers in oil, gas, petrochemicals, power plants, steel and copper mines

On Monday, 24 April, the strike of workers in the oil, gas, petrochemical, power plants, steel and copper mines sectors, which began on Friday, 21 April, entered its fourth day and spread to 97 industrial sites and companies in 32 cities in 12 provinces. Disadvantaged workers in these industrial sectors, mainly under the control of the Revolutionary Guard and Khamenei's pro-Khamenei mafia, stopped work to protest against low wages, non-payment of wages and benefits, poor working conditions and lack of attention to their demands.
These strikes are taking place in the cities of Ardebil, Dehloran, Isfahan, Asalouyeh, Kangan, Bouchehr, Jam, Lordegan, Hafeshjan, Abadan, Bandar Mahshahr, Dasht Azadegan, Shadegan, Chabahar, Shiraz, Neiriz, Lamard, Sirjan, Kerman, Baft, Shahrbabak, Gatchsaran, Jask, Lavan Island, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, Parsian, Yazd and Bahabad.
Social security pensioners from Shoush, nurses from the Kurdistan Faculty of Medical Sciences and medical staff from Sanandaj gathered and marched in protest against poverty, high prices and the plundering of their salaries.
