France considers that the present and future of Western Sahara fall within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty.

‎On January 2, 2024, I announced to you that 2024 would be the year of Moroccan diplomatic excellence... An excellence that continues throughout the history of our thousand-year-old Kingdom.

‎Today, we are witnesses to this excellence, thanks to the diplomacy led by His Majesty the King, may God help him. Indeed, in addition to the unique progress made by the Kingdom in Africa and in the world, a new member of the Security Council is completely aligned with Morocco on the question of the Moroccan Sahara.

Indeed, the French President officially announced to His Majesty the King that he "considers that the present and future of Western Sahara fall within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty", on this, the geopolitical wake on the question of the Moroccan Sahara will experience a significant evolution, especially since the French President also declared that he "intends to act consistently with this position, nationally and at the international level".

‎This French decision is the result of realism and consensus on the part of the French state. In other words, there will be no turning back despite ideological changes.

France felt its delay in recognizing the Moroccan nature of the Sahara, but this letter will create a turning point and a significant development, both in the issue in question and in the historical relations between France and Morocco.

‎In short, France has decided, Europe has decided, the world has decided.

Considering the Autonomy Plan proposed by Morocco in 2007 as the only basis for reaching a solution on this issue, all these recognitions are part of an international dynamic driven by His Majesty the King, to close this artificial dispute.‎

Bravo and thank you to Royal diplomacy.
