The world owes them a voice

I am writing to you because I want to refer to the ethnic group that the world ignores as if it were invisible. In the current high-profile Muslim crisis in China, people generally deal with Turkish-speaking Muslims, such as Uighurs or Kazakhs, but we rarely talk about what is happening on the other side. The other is Hui Muslim and represents half of China's 200 million Muslim population.
The Hui Muslims speak Chinese and are totally sinized (Chinese-style converts). Their history in China can even be traced back to the mid-7th century. They are the oldest Muslim group to have been born in China. In the history of old Chinese despotism, the Hui Muslims were repeatedly massacred. During the collapse of the Qing Empire at the end of the 19th century, Hui Muslims lost millions of people.
Later, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) declared that their aim was to overthrow the despotism, although in reality they are the ghost of Eastern despotism. Under the rules of the CCP, Hui Muslim's situation worsened. They are going to disappear. In the cultural revolution (1966-1978) launched by the CCP, the cultural heritage of Hui Muslims was destroyed, including almost all mosques and ancient religious books.
After the 1980s, the Hui Muslims had restored their religious community for some 30 years, but today the CCP wants to destroy all this again. This time, they're doing it in the name of the Sinai religions (converted in the Chinese style). This means that many religious books are banned, Arabic language schools are closed and the Islamic domes of many mosques are demolished.
The Chinese empire is going cyclically crazy. During the crazy processing, only one person transmitted this horrible message to the world through their social networks. The man is a Muslim writer and poet Hui. His name is Cui Haoxin. He once published his novels and poems in the official magazine of Chinese literature. He could have remained silent to avoid the dangers, but he did not. On 24 January 2020, the eve of the Chinese New Year, he was arrested by Chinese security police in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. After that, there is almost no information about Hui Muslim and Cui Haoxin.
If the sufferings of the Uighurs of the 21st century were like the Jews of the 20th century in the genocide, Hui Muslim is more like a silent gypsy who disappeared at the crematorium. The world owes them a voice.
