Conversation with Mohammed Achaari at the Three Cultures Foundation

The Three Cultures Foundation, as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations and in collaboration with the Turner publishing house, is organising a meeting on 31 January at 7 p.m. with the Moroccan author, poet and former minister Mohammed Achaari, winner of one of the most prestigious and important literary prizes in the Arab world, the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) for The Bow and the Butterfly.
In this novel, the author describes the process of transition in Morocco through controversial and crucial issues for Arab society, such as terrorism, emigration and the advance of fundamentalism in a society that strives to be modern.
Taking this book as a starting point, Achaari will discuss current affairs in Morocco with journalist and writer Alejandro Luque.
Translation from Arabic into Spanish will be provided.
