The Three Cultures Foundation organises the 30th edition of the International Book Fair in Rabat

The Three Cultures Foundation participates in the 30th edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair in Rabat with a proposal at the Spain stand on 24th April at 12 noon 

The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, the Cervantes Institute in Rabat and the Spanish Embassy in Morocco are organising the presentation of the book A mi querido Abdelaziz… de tu Conchita. Letters between Spanish and Moroccan women during colonial Morocco (Icaria, 2020) by Josep Mateo Dieste and Nieves Muriel García, as part of the 30th edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair in Rabat. 

The event, moderated by Moroccan academic Oumama Aouad, will delve into this work, the result of rigorous research into an unpublished correspondence between Spanish women and Moroccan men during the period of the Protectorate (1936-1956). The letters reveal intimate relationships that defied colonial conventions and shed new light on the shared emotional and social history of the two peoples. 

This proposal is part of the commitment of the Three Cultures Foundation to give visibility to Spanish authors with strong ties to Morocco, thus strengthening the cultural and literary ties between the two countries.
