The Three Cultures Foundation's ‘Tres con libros’ begins the year with the multi-award-winning ‘Cuando brillan las estrellas’
The Three Cultures Foundation begins the year with one of its flagship projects for the promotion of Mediterranean literature: ‘Tres con libros’, a reading club with a 17-year history, which on this occasion opens the course with a work dedicated to comics.
This project begins in 2026 with a reading full of humanity and solidarity, which will include a virtual meeting with the author and the club's readers on 21 January at 5.30 pm.
Opening reading: ‘Cuando brillan las estrellas’
The chosen reading is ‘Cuando brillan las estrellas,’ an extraordinary work by American author Victoria Jamieson, inspired by the real life of Omar Mohamed, which sensitively and compassionately tells a story of resilience, friendship, and hope.
The club will have a batch of 30 copies available for collective loan, thus facilitating the participation of interested readers.
This graphic novel was presented at the first edition of COMICMED, held last year in Malaga, establishing itself as one of the most outstanding works in the recent social comic scene.
