Iberdrola España reaches 760 public recharging points in Castilla y León

Iberdrola España has now reached 760 public charging points for electric vehicles in Castilla y León and has surpassed 8,000 in Spain, after commissioning more than 25% of the points installed during 2024, which reinforces its position as the most extensive public charging network in the country.
In addition to this infrastructure, which is already operational, there are nearly 4,000 more points throughout the country, including those under construction and awaiting various administrative procedures, which will be available in the coming months.
Of the 760 points in operation in all the provinces of Castilla y León, approximately 30% are fast, super-fast and ultra-fast recharging points, which means that they are capable of recharging 200 kilometres of autonomy between 5 and 40 minutes, allowing any journey operated by the Iberdrola | bp pulse alliance to be made.
The high-power charging points have been developed and operated since last year by Iberdrola | bp pulse, a 50:50 strategic alliance between the two companies to lead the deployment of fast and ultra-fast public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Spain and Portugal.
Iberdrola España, which has continued to roll out 10 charging points every working day in the country over the past year, thus demonstrates its commitment to electric mobility, the only mobility option that can improve air quality and achieve more sustainable spaces.
Iberdrola España's electric mobility strategy is based on the installation of recharging points of different power ratings to allow users to select the option that best suits their needs at any given time.
Thus, its charging points of less than 50 kW are located in places where the driver is going to spend more time, for example, in shopping centres or supermarkets; while its aim with the fast charging stations is to place one every 50 km or less to allow long-distance journeys to be made.
All the points installed by Iberdrola España are powered by 100% green energy, from renewable sources with a guarantee of origin (GdOS), which helps to combat climate change and achieve a transition to a model that is independent of fossil fuels.
Users can access the company's network through the Iberdrola Public Recharging App, the most highly rated in the sector, where they can view and geolocate verified information on all chargers, check their operation in real time and reserve and pay from their mobile phone.
Private charging
Iberdrola España's development of electric mobility also extends to the private sector in companies and residential customers, with over 50,000 charging points in its public network.
In the private sector, it offers alternatives for domestic recharging, where it stands out for having the most competitive tariff in the sector, allowing 1,000 km to be covered for 5 euros, and for companies, where it offers turnkey products from the design, installation, maintenance and management of the recharging point.
The mobility plan, launched by the company in 2016, was pioneering in its implementation. Today, its strategy envisages the installation of more than 100,000 charging points by 2025, including public charging points, residential, companies and car parks.
