Iberdrola launches a new phase of the "Light for All" programme in Brazil

Iberdrola, through its subsidiary in Brazil, Neoenergia, has signed an agreement to start a new phase of the Light for All programme.

Iberdrola, through its subsidiary in Brazil, Neoenergia, has signed an agreement to start a new phase of the "Light for All" programme, the largest rural electrification initiative in Latin America, in Bahia, in collaboration with the Federal Government of Brazil. 

This new phase envisages 29,500 grid connections between 2024 and 2026, a planned investment of 1.2 billion reais (more than 197 million euros) and more than 10,200 projects throughout the state. 

Neoenergia Coelba's adherence to the federal "Light for All" programme is an important sign of its commitment to universal energy supply throughout the Bahia region. 

The event organised to mark the announcement was attended by the President of the Federative Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira; the CEO of Neoenergia, Eduardo Capelastegui; the company's Vice-President, Solange Ribeiro; and the CEO of the distributor Neoenergia Coelba, Thiago Guth.
