Indra thus obtains the first returns on the 175 million euro investment made in August 2023 to buy a 9.5% stake in the world leader in aircraft engines from Bain Capital

Indra will receive a dividend of 59.6 million euros for the 9.5% stake it holds in the capital of ITP Aero, after the Board of Directors of the latter approved the payment of an extraordinary dividend of 629 million euros, proposed by Bain Capital.

Although the entry into the capital of ITP Aero and representation on its Board of Directors has an industrial objective, the payment of this dividend makes profitable the investment of 175 million euros made in 2023 to buy 9.5% of the world leader in aircraft engines from Bain Capital.

"Our stake in ITP Aero has an industrial vocation, is long-term and is aligned with our strategic plan Leading the Future, with which we want to lead the Spanish defence and aerospace ecosystem in less than 10 years. We are satisfied with the investment in ITP and the company's progress," said Marc Murtra, Chairman of Indra and member of ITP's Board of Directors.

Indra's CEO, José Vicente de los Mozos, points out that "it is proving that our strategy of promoting collaboration and cooperation with other national companies, even taking some participation as in the case of ITP, is right and makes us all stronger, Indra as leader and coordinator of Spanish and European defence programmes, such as the FCAS, but also Spanish companies that are leaders in their fields, as is the case of ITP".
