Moroccan airports recorded in 2022 a volume of 20,592,350 passengers and 174,820 movements, representing a recovery rate of 82 and 83%, respectively, compared to 2019, the year before the pandemic.

In a statement, Morocco's National Airports Office (ONDA), reported Friday that Casablanca's Mohamed V airport, the largest in the Maghreb country, recorded 7,637,643 passengers in 2022, representing a recovery rate of 74% compared to 2019.

This airport facility in the country's economic capital also recorded 67,094 aircraft movements, 73% more than before the pandemic.

Other airports reached or even surpassed the 2019 traffic, such as Tetouan (470%), Oujda (122%), Nador (108%) or Tangier (106%).

Rabat, the country's capital, recorded 873,305 passengers last year, 82% more than in 2019.
