The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Tangier brings together port authorities, transport companies and professional associations of the Mediterranean

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Morocco is the host of the 10th Spanish-Moroccan Maritime, Transport and Logistics Meeting, which will be held on 29 and 30 May at the Barceló Hotel in Tangier.
With the slogan "Joining forces to respond to global challenges", the meeting will bring together representatives of the port authorities of various Mediterranean ports, as well as companies from the transport and logistics sector, and professional organisations.
Opening
The participants will be welcomed by José Estévez Martínez, President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Morocco, and it will be the Consul General of Spain in Tangiers, Juan Carlos Gafo Acevedo, who will lead the official inauguration.
The round tables will be moderated by Amal Boussouf, director of the Chamber of Commerce, and Santiago Muelas, country manager of the Romeu Group.

Interventions
The first part of the morning session on 29 May will be occupied by the interventions of Sanae El Amrani, Director of Ports and Maritime Public Domain of the Ministry of Equipment and Water of the Government of Morocco; Mustapha Chaoune, President of the African Union of Transport and Logistics Organisations; and Javier Fernández Méndez de Andes, Chief Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Morocco.
Round tables
The first of the event's three round tables will be dedicated to "Innovation and digitalisation: the keys to the transformation of the maritime, transport and logistics sector".
Representatives from the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, the Port Authority of Tangier Med, Renault Morocco, Baleària, Marc Force Emploi and the Moroccan Road Transport Association will participate.
The second will deal with "Cross-border cooperation in the maritime, transport and logistics sector: challenges and opportunities". Representatives of the port authorities of Motril (Granada) and Valencia; the Development Company for the conversion of the Tangier Port Area; transport companies such as Calsina Carré; agricultural organisations and Noussaira El Harrak, project manager of the Regional Investment Council of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, will take part.
The third round table on 29 May will be devoted to "Environmental challenges in the maritime, transport and logistics sector: towards an ecological transition".
Representatives from the port authorities of Barcelona and Nador West Med, the National Office of Food Product Health Safety, the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM) and the OAS Authorised Customs Operators Club will take part.
B2B meetings
The day of 30 May will be entirely devoted to B2B meetings between representatives of port authorities, official bodies, business associations and companies present at the meeting. A unique opportunity to address the challenges posed by the development of logistics in the maritime transport sector in the Mediterranean.
