The drone industry receives maximum support at the opening of Expodrónica Air Show

The Single European Sky has become more of a reality after today's third day of Airspace Integration Week, which today moved to Cuatro Vientos Aerodrome with the celebration of Expodrónica and WOSS, the World Space Summit. The integration of the ATM, STM, AAM and unmanned traffic management sectors has taken another step forward in the determined drive towards the Single European Sky. 

The presentations, talks, demonstrations by different European companies, as well as the visit of different officials such as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Héctor Gómez; the Councillor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, Ángel Niño; or the participation of senior representatives of the European Commission, have shown that the sector has strong support from local, regional, national and European administrations.

Intense programme of conferences 

A long day full of activities on the opening day of Expodrónica at the Cuatro Vientos aerodrome. The two stages, the UMILES EXPODRÓNICA UAS Theatre and the WOSS Theatre hosted various panels. In the first of the theatres, the "Evolution of Security Studies. Sora 2.5", a workshop on Vertipuertos organised by INECO and talks on Artificial Intelligence in the U-space and on the added value of light shows with drones in the events sector. 

Activity at the WOSS Theatre

The WOSS auditorium hosted the Space Agencies Symposium with the participation of representatives of agencies from Spain, Portugal, the European Space Agency (ESA), the EUSPA and the Latin American and Caribbean Space Agency. 

In the afternoon, the Congress attendees discussed "What will Space be like in 2050", learnt about the modular SDR Platforms for high performance space missions with uses in real cases and the last of the presentations dealt with the technologies of the new satellites with the participation of EUSPA, CNS, EUROCONTROL, STARTICAL, IRIS, ESA and ONESKY. 

Flight demonstrations

From three in the afternoon until almost 19.30, those attending the Cuatro Vientos field enjoyed demonstrations by STOCKRC FPV AEROMODELISMO, AEROTOOLS, Primecor- Abionica Solutions, ITG, HP Drones, the Benidorm Local Police, the National Police, the Madrid Municipal Police, SAMUR, the U-ELCOME Project, INECO and ENAIRE. 

Light show and drones 

The evening ends with the DRONE LIGHT SHOW, performed by Flock Drone Art in which 201 drones fly simultaneously offering a unique light show.
