Anti-Trump attacks to continue, says US Congressman Tom Fabricio

The third attempt at another alleged attack in Long Island against Donald Trump (this time it was a vehicle loaded with explosives, parked near where the presidential candidate was to give a rally on the afternoon of 18 September) has only served to highlight the tense situation that the country is experiencing in the race for the White House.
This security breach has not been seen in decades, not since Ronald Reagan's presidency, let alone during the election campaign, according to Tom Fabricio, a state representative, Republican congressman, member of the Florida legislature and senior commander of the Florida State Guard, told Atalayar.
Fabricio also alludes to the fact that Donald Trump should reduce his presence at public events, although the attempts to end his life will not prevent the former US president from interrupting his schedule. So much so that he recently attended a fundraising event in Mar A Lago and a campaign rally in North Carolina, where he landed his private plane, causing great excitement among those present.
‘It's a sad state of affairs,’ the Republican congressman begins the interview. ‘There are people who are misdirected in the Democratic Party, not to mention the messages that have induced political violence’. For Fabricio, the United States is a country of laws and, despite disagreements, there has always been dialogue. The debate of ideas has always led them to the right path within the logic of the argument. ‘We are based on a very old Constitution, which has worked for us for many years. And it will continue to guide us, despite the hostility at the moment,’ says Fabricio.
On the authorship of the apparent assassination attempts and who might be behind them, legislator Tom Fabricio prefers to remain silent. But what he is not shy about assuring is that, if Trump wins, the attacks against him will continue. ‘I would be surprised if there were not more attacks, unfortunately,’ he says.
On the insecurity on the border with Mexico, the Florida State Guard's top commander blames Trump's Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, for the illegal crossings of the US-Mexico border, which are ‘on the rise’. ‘It is vitally important to have key policies to maintain security. Secure borders are vital for any country’. As it is, during the past 2021, the US Border Patrol counted more than 1.7 million encounters with illegal immigrants, the highest ever recorded.

The member of the Florida House of Representatives since 2022 continues the meeting with this journalist by saying that, looking back in time, when John Biden ran as a Democratic candidate in the primaries, Kamala Harris (‘without any political support’) was subsequently appointed the director of the US-Mexico Border (The Boarding Boss). ‘She did nothing,’ complains the congressman, “even though she was in charge of migration issues”. ‘What is known as stop and release,’ he notes. Apparently, border crossers (Syrians, Chinese, Ukrainians, Russians, Cubans, mostly) were stopped for basic identity information and then entered without any documents.
This high-ranking National Guard commander, who remembers going with military troops to control the Texas-Mexico border, wonders why Harris has not taken any action in the White House to prevent ‘the sieve’ of uncontrolled people, just like the entry of the two billion lethal doses of fentanyl, which the Texas Guard seized at the time and has led to the declaration of a state of emergency in some US cities.
It is the State Guard forces that are hampering the operation of the cartels that are profiting from ‘human trafficking’.
Tom Fabricio's predictions for the future election results on 5 November are based on the data he has on Florida. Today, the state of Florida has one million more Republicans than Democrats since Barack Obama's administration. This situation is due to the policies imposed by the governor, Ron DeSantis, since the time of the pandemic, which makes him think that Trump ‘has a better chance than Harris’ when it comes to proclaiming himself the winner of the presidential elections.
