It is known in France as 'art de vivre', meaning the 'art of living', a movement or philosophy that celebrates the good things in life, and visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai can experience this in a temporary exhibition at the France Pavilion from 8 November to 6 December.

The immersive exhibition, presented by Chalhoub Group, features beautiful tableware: a marriage of luxury and elegance, with a variety of items that are often used in everyday life, but with a different twist: beautiful glasses, vases, plates, teapots and cutlery.

The pavilion's concept store, Tanagra, features three famous houses: Baccarat, Bernardaud and Christofle, all participating in an immersive show combining prestigious works, to illustrate the French creative process and savoir-faire (loosely translated as 'tact' or knowing how to act in a particular situation), while exploring how modernity is redefining the French tradition of tableware.

Since 1830, Christofle, a Parisian goldsmith, has been creating exceptional tableware, refined jewellery and home accessories. Baccarat has been operating since 1764 under the instructions of King Louis XV, an illustrious glass factory that has become a symbol of the art de vivre. The Bernardaud factory originated in 1863 and uses three essential elements in the manufacture of porcelain: kaolin, fresh water and woods.
