"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid
"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, takes an in-depth look at international issues.
The radio programme will discuss the role of Invest in Madrid and the position of the Spanish capital as a hub for foreign investment that generates economic activity and creates jobs. Rodrigo de la Mota, CEO of Invest in Madrid, will be in the studio to explain the work being done in this regard.
We will also discuss the complicated relationship between Spain and Algeria following the Algerian decision to cut off trade with the Spanish nation because of the latter's support for the Moroccan proposal for broad autonomy for Western Sahara under the sovereignty of the Alawi kingdom, which was considered by the Spanish government to be the most "serious, credible and realistic" way of resolving the Sahrawi problem. The issue will be addressed by journalist and writer Beatriz Mesa, who will also speak about her new book "Armed groups in the Sahel: Conflict and criminal economy in northern Mali".
Ukraine will once again be an important topic on "De cara al mundo" and we will analyse the visit of the leaders of Germany, France, Italy and Romania to Ukrainian territory to meet with President Zelenski with the Ukrainian request for more heavy weapons to resist the Russian invasion. To discuss this issue we will have the expert international analyst Lucas Martín and Pablo Martín de Santa Olalla, professor at the ESERP University Centre and author of the book "Historia de la Italia republicana, 1946-2021".
As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas.
