"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses the most relevant international current affairs issues every Friday.  

In this radio programme, Senegal will be discussed as a reference point for security in Africa. The mission "EU-Mediterranean Political Dialogue Programme: Migration&Climate Change", by the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation, has shown that the Republic of Senegal is a security benchmark due to the absence of coups d'état and governmental stability, but all of this under the threat of Islamic radicalism and transnational organised crime mafias. Journalist Carmen Chamorro will give the keys to the Senegalese country's role in Africa and Europe.  

Ukraine continues to be covered in "De cara al mundo". The surprise visit to Washington by Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski continues to provoke reactions. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in response to the US sending Patriot anti-aircraft batteries, assures that they are an old system and that they will already have systems in place to circumvent them. Putin is willing to end the war, but there are concessions that Zelenski is not willing to make. We shall see whether Washington has convinced him or not... Lucas Martin, an expert international analyst, and María Senovilla, special envoy to Ukraine, will shed light on these issues.  

As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will analyse the war in Ukraine and will give a summary of the year that is coming to an end, focusing on the links between the United States and the Maghreb and Latin America and China.
