Juan Ramón Fuertes, new president of the ProFuturo Foundation

Together with the new president, the ProFuturo Board of Trustees is made up of Marc Murtra and Isidro Fainé as vice-presidents, Josep María Coronas and Luis Prendes as members and Pablo de Carvajal as secretary. 

The ProFuturo Foundation, promoter of the educational innovation programme with technology promoted by the Telefónica Foundation and the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation, has appointed Juan Ramón Fuertes, until now deputy general director of the project, as the new president of its Board of Trustees. 

Together with the new president, the Board of Trustees of the ProFuturo Foundation is made up of Marc Murtra and Isidro Fainé as vice-presidents, in his capacity as president of the Telefónica Foundation and representing the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation, respectively; by Josep María Coronas and Luis Prendes as members, in their capacity as general director of the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation and as general director of the Telefónica Foundation, respectively; and by Pablo de Carvajal as non-trustee secretary, in his capacity as current general secretary and Regulatory Affairs of Telefónica.

Magdalena Brier remains as managing director of the project's executive management and Albert López joins as deputy managing director, coming from MicroBank, the social bank of the CaixaBank Group.

Juan Ramón Fuertes, the new president of the ProFuturo Foundation, has been linked to ProFuturo as deputy managing director for the last year. He had previously spent much of his career at CaixaBank, which he joined in 1980 and where he was regional manager in the Canary Islands, executive director of Retail Banking, Marketing and Quality, and held other positions of responsibility such as regional manager in the Balearic Islands, general delegate in Lleida and Barcelona Cinturón, and business area manager in several regions. In Portugal he was also a member of the Board of Directors of BPI and a member of the bank's executive committee.
