Upon his arrival at the mosque, the King reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard that paid him honors.
After the Eid prayer, the imam highlighted in his sermon the profound spiritual meanings of Eid Al Adha, which crowns the first ten days of Di Al Hijja, and pointed out that this holiday is not a passing occasion, but has a strong religious significance that illustrates the deep attachment of the members of the people to the different aspects of the Holy Religion and their desire to draw closer to God, striving to strengthen social and family ties through this venerable event.

Based on the responsibility incumbent upon the King, in his capacity as Amir Al-Mouminine, faithful protector of the religions, and his desire to eliminate inconvenience and harm and to promote facilitation, in accordance with the content of the Quranic verse: “And He has not placed any hardship on you in religion,” the Monarch has invited his beloved people this year to refrain from performing the Eid sacrifice ritual, the imam recalled.
The King will then proceed, on behalf of his faithful people, to perform the ritual sacrifice, thus following the Sunnah of his ancestor, the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, peace and blessings be upon him, when he sacrificed two lambs, saying: “This one is for me, and this other one is on behalf of my Umma,” he continued.
The imam concluded by imploring the Almighty to preserve the King, Amir Al-Mouminine, to crown his actions with success for the good of his faithful people, and to bless him in the person of Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the Illustrious Royal Family.
He also offered prayers for the eternal rest of the souls of the late sovereigns, Mohammed V and Hassan II, may God welcome them into His holy mercy.
Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, was then greeted by the heads of the Islamic diplomatic missions accredited in Morocco, who presented the Sovereign with their congratulations and best wishes. He then proceeded, on his behalf and on behalf of his faithful people, to perform the ritual sacrifice, while cannon shots rang out to mark this festive day.

On this occasion, King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Prince Moulay Ahmed, received the wishes of the head of government, the presidents of the two chambers of parliament, the president delegate of the High Council of the Judiciary, the first president of the Court of Cassation, the president of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Attorney General of the King before the Court of Cassation, the presidents of the constitutional bodies, and several high-ranking civil and military officials.
