The Incorpora programme of the "la Caixa" Foundation has provided more than 42,000 jobs for people in vulnerable situations in 2023

The "la Caixa" Foundation's socio-occupational inclusion programme, Incorpora, has promoted the hiring of 42,130 people in vulnerable situations in 2023. This is the highest annual figure achieved by the programme since its creation in 2006 and has been achieved with the help of nearly 500 collaborating social entities and 16,417 companies committed to social responsibility and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the United Nations.

- Incorpora, a benchmark for socio-occupational inclusion
"The success of the Incorpora programme is the result of a shared commitment and networking between the "la Caixa" Foundation, the social organisations and the companies involved in the programme. Our common goal is to facilitate the inclusion of all those groups that still encounter barriers and obstacles when it comes to finding a job. For this reason, we continue to build new bridges between the social fabric and the business fabric to promote equal opportunities", stressed the Deputy Director General of the "la Caixa" Foundation, Marc Simón.
One of the objectives on which the programme also focuses is the promotion of gender equality in access to employment and the integration of women in vulnerable situations (according to the INE, the female unemployment rate stood at 13.36% in the fourth quarter of 2023, more than 3 points higher than that of men). In this respect, of the total number of insertions facilitated by Incorpora last year, 22,947 were women (54 %), including 1,288 victims of gender violence. This has been possible thanks to personalised itineraries that combine skills training and empowerment workshops to recover lost self-esteem and confidence.
In addition, the programme has promoted job placements among various groups: people with physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities; migrants; young people; the over-45s; young people from the child protection system; and people with addiction problems, among others.
At the same time, through the specific lines of action of the Reincorpora and Mental Health programmes, 2,478 people deprived of liberty and 2,942 people with mental health problems, respectively, have been successfully integrated, while the Self-Employment line has helped 1,529 people at risk of exclusion with an entrepreneurial spirit and attitude to create new businesses and micro-enterprises.
By country, the 42,130 job placements facilitated by Incorpora in 2023 are distributed as follows: 38,404 in Spain, 1,764 in Portugal, 881 in Morocco, 563 in Hungary and 518 in Poland.

Incorpora, a benchmark for socio-occupational inclusion
Since the programme was launched in 2006, 447,284 people in vulnerable situations have found employment through Incorpora thanks to the collaboration of 91,339 companies in various sectors, such as hospitality, commerce, cleaning, social and health care, transport and warehousing. Through their commitment to social and occupational inclusion, these companies contribute to SDG 8 ("Decent work and economic growth") and SDG 10 ("Reducing inequalities"), included in the United Nations 2030 Agenda, opening up new employment opportunities for vulnerable groups.
Likewise, in all the work inclusion processes promoted by Incorpora, the networking of the 1,200 job placement technicians who offer personalised attention and follow-up to participants, and the nearly 500 social organisations spread throughout the territory, with which "la Caixa" Foundation has just renewed its collaboration agreements for the eighteenth consecutive year, are essential.
