The international forum "Las Empresas Mueven al Mundo" is born

On 24th February last, the important international forum "Las Empresas Mueven al Mundo" was born in Malaga, promoted by the Casa de México in Malaga and Andalusia. Ten business organisations from different parts of Spain have joined as founders of this forum, whose aim is to highlight in society that companies are a source of wealth, jobs, ideas and innovation, but are also co-responsible with society.
Business delegations from Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, Ceuta, Melilla, Jaen and Gran Canaria met at a business lunch at Kaleido in Malaga. The event was attended by Alicia Izquierdo García, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Innovation, Urban Digitalisation, Promotion of Technological and Business Investment and Recruitment.
"I would like to say to all the businessmen and businesswomen present here that you can count on Malaga City Council and my department to promote and move forward with this forum, which will only bring more progress to our country," said Izquierdo García.
he event, which took place in a fraternal atmosphere, was attended by dozens of businesswomen who play an important role not only in the micro-enterprise sector, but also many with international projection. Most of the participants were women, although there were also entrepreneurs who came from Madrid.
The annual forum "Las Empresas Mueven al Mundo" will take place in Malaga, but it will also experience an itinerant stage. In this first stage, more Spanish, Mexican, American and Canadian business associations will be invited to join.

Claudia Luna Palencia, president of the Casa de México in Málaga and Andalusia, said that this forum was born out of the need to counteract the narratives that try to demonise the role of entrepreneurs.
"Six out of every ten jobs are generated by entrepreneurs. We have to tell young people not to kill their ideas, on the contrary, to believe in innovation, to believe in their contribution and that being an entrepreneur is a plus. Entrepreneurs move the world with their work, with their creativity, with their ideas," said Luna Palencia.
The document that gives rise to this important forum was signed by Luna Palencia herself and also by María Francisca Serón González, president of Pymes Melilla, by Najat Mohamed Maanan, president of Activas Charter 100 Melilla; by María Bernarda Barrios Curbelo, president of Charter 100 Gran Canarias; by Pilar Sierra, vice-president of Granada Internacional; by Fatiha Lahassen, president of BPW Ceuta; by Inmaculada Pérez, president of the Forum of Businesswomen and Professionals of Córdoba; Antonia Nieto, vice-president of the Forum of Businesswomen and Professionals of Córdoba; Princesa Sánchez, general secretary of AJE Málaga, and Ricardo Nandwani, president of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Self-Employed Persons of the Technology and Digital Industry Málaga Digital.

Angela de Miguel, president of the Mexico-Spain Business Association, and Kristina Szekely, president of the Association of Professional and Business Women of Marbella (AMPREM) will also join this agreement, and other associations such as the American Chamber are expected to join in the coming weeks.
In Spain, there are more than 3.4 million businesses, the vast majority of which are micro and small enterprises, while others are run by the self-employed.
