The world capsizes

Throughout the last century we have maintained the theory that there were things of a certain relevance that, undaunted, maintained a status quo, a high position on the scale of values and enjoyed a, let's call it credibility or iron credentials that were proof against any doubt or question.
However, in recent months, it seems that the world has been capsizing and crumbling; everything that seemed immovable or very serious has turned out not to be so; indeed, rather dynamic because the political world and its leading figures, it seems, without a hair's breadth of movement, change their stance or "opinion or position" with unusual frequency and tremendous ease.
Thus, we see that US foreign policy and the maintenance of its "ironclad alliances" have changed radically in just a few years. Those who felt protected by the paternalistic and warlike mantle of the Americans have found that, overnight, they have been abandoned by them, despite having woven great ties and relationships not only on the basis of open and tangible services, but also of espionage or questionable engagement; I am referring to the Kurds, Syrians and Afghans, among others.
Uncle Sam's new geo-strategic goals and visions have viciously closed the door forever on vast territories, leaving millions of people to wander to their fate overnight. Reasons why large continents or important parts of them have suddenly become unprotected because they are now no longer important in the eyes of Yankee interests that point in other directions.
We all know about China's growing international role and influence in political, economic and social aspects and its clashes on various fronts and fields with the US. But no one expected that a few days ago Biden would send his Secretary of State Antony Blinken to "rendez vous" with Xi Jinping as a proof of good intentions and peace with the highest rank seen recently and, a few hours after he left China, Biden called Xi anything but nice.
The recent implosion accident of a bathyscaphe in waters close to the wreck of the Titanic has shown that not even the very wealthy, even if they pay exorbitant sums for whimsical and eccentric travel tickets, are exempt from lethal accidents when they try to ascend into the atmosphere or descend into the deep sea. Nothing is one hundred percent safe, not even for the capricious and privileged tycoons.
We have seen that our president, who speaks of the Spanish economic situation as "going like a motorbike", is not only lying through his teeth, but also allows himself the luxury of making us believe that the pathetic reversals in his economic and political orientation and agenda in recent years are the result of profound and very personal "changes of opinion" about the importance of things, people and their policies.
We have been thinking for almost a century that Russia alone, albeit with certain difficulties, was capable of keeping the world in check, had no qualms about threatening neighbouring countries and even international organisations of some importance such as NATO itself and maintaining a strong pulse with the International Community (IC) by allowing itself the luxury of invading Ukraine and maintaining a policy of attrition for many months in a war that, initially, many of us understand as unjust and disproportionate.
But its main strike force has suddenly taken on excessive prominence, due to the cruelty and deadly effectiveness of its fighters, the Wagner Group - an instrument created by Russian intelligence to carry out the "jobs" that its Armed Forces cannot or should not do, which acts as a private company and is therefore free to act wherever it sees fit, which is why we have seen them intervene at the root of the crisis in Donbas since 2014, in Syria and in several Sahel states. A group of some 25,000 fighters, composed mainly of mercenary assassins of Chechen origin, which, against all odds, has been able to endanger an entire Russia, despite being equipped with huge nuclear weapons and having an army considered to be one of the largest in the world.
The mercenaries have advanced through Russia, as if on a school trip, without any resistance, to within a few hundred kilometres of the capital, Moscow. They have spread fear or panic among the political class, the military leadership and all those mafias of murderers and libertines who are the real rulers of the Russian Federation.
These actions have shown that the Russian rearguard on its own territory is very weak or non-existent, that the capacity for reaction, command and control of its Armed Forces is little or non-existent and that once again, as we have seen throughout history, the mercenaries revolt against their "master" if he does not take them seriously, does not pay them properly or as they demand or does not provide them with the promised means necessary for the fulfilment of their task. This action debunks another great myth, the now increasingly uncertain possibility that Russia could invade Europe and beyond, if it so chooses.
Only the intervention of Belarus and its wimp of a president and other hidden hands or powers, and a string of promises that have yet to be fully unravelled, have managed to turn around a situation that was looking catastrophic for Putin and saved him just as the bell was about to ring. The wimp, saving the overbearing tyrant.
Because, to be honest, the IC's moves to stop and even evaluate the aforementioned impending coup have been to no avail, and have once again demonstrated their incapacity and inoperativeness in the face of political or armed conflicts of a certain magnitude.
By the way, serious and urgent international movements, to which Spain and its president have not been invited even as a spectator without voice or vote in the same room or videoconference, despite the fact that in a matter of days we will occupy the rotating presidency of the EU; so another of the great sand castles based on air or smoke by the propaganda plot of the illustrious Sánchez who intends to continue selling that he is the parsley of all sauces, without being so by any stretch of the imagination.
After the recent local and regional elections in Spain, we have been able to see that another of the great ideals created by both sides has also succumbed, namely the real strength and intentions of the misnamed "political right" in Spain. Many of the media, most of the talk show hosts in the soporific local, regional or national political gatherings, took it for granted that the agreements between the PP and VOX were something easy to achieve; but we have seen that not only is it not easy, but it could even be harmful if the strongest party and at the same time the one most in need of support had not given in, albeit late and badly.
Only a few of us have spent years publicly showing little confidence in this and other similar parties, now defunct. VOX insists on the same mistake as those parties despite the fact that it is becoming less and less influential because it is constantly dwindling and because its crazy or exorbitant policies and theories will never lead them to unseat the PP.
A party that wants its meagre support to be overvalued because of its lust for power, appearances and carpet-stepping; actions or shortcomings, which tarnish the fact that the distribution of seats - apparently the only important thing for them - is not done in a proportionate or equitable manner.
The absurd clashes that have already occurred and those that will inevitably occur in the short and medium term between the two parties, as well as the excessive and conceited way of seeing success in some who have not yet fully achieved it anywhere, nor are there any signs of it on the near horizon, once again demonstrate that the selection of political personnel and, above all, of the heads of series at a transcendental level, should be a much more calm and serious act than, it seems, has been observed in all parties.
