The real enemies

Israel and the United States are determined to put an end to Hamas. It is not just a matter of condemning the brutal terrorist attacks committed by this organisation in Israel on 7 October with the murder of more than 1,200 civilians and the kidnapping of 241.
The issue now is to liquidate an organisation that has exercised a dictatorship in Gaza since 2007 because it seized power in the Strip in a coup against the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) by shooting out Fatah Palestinians.
For 16 years, Iran's support with money, weapons, indoctrination and the Al Quds brigades of the Revolutionary Guard and an atrocious repression occupying all institutions. Hamas has used internal and external violence against Israel provoking its reprisals to maintain its usurped power by force. Years in which almost no one has consistently questioned the Hamas dictatorship in Gaza. Nor the continued rule in the West Bank of Mahmoud Abbas at the head of the PNA without a return to the ballot box.
It is not possible that we can continue to live with these murderers as neighbours, as many Israelis claim, calling for the liquidation of Hamas terrorists and those who supported, financed, armed and trained them in Syria, in pro-Iranian militia training camps.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be held accountable for the huge failure of his administration and for the major security lapse that allowed the entry of some 1,000 Hamas terrorists. Now, Netanyahu has taken up the mission to wipe out Hamas and warns that it will be a long war, and the reason is that in addition to Hamas the intention is to wipe out other militias such as the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Syrian militias, which pose a threat to all, including Arab countries, managed by the Ayatollah regime in Tehran with some Russian support.
If one looks at Netanyahu's full speech to Pedro Sánchez and his Belgian colleague, the explanations are clear and forceful. If we do not stop now, the terrorist threats promoted by Iran in Gaza and the West Bank will spread throughout the Middle East and will soon reach Europe. Terrorist propaganda and intoxication with false images of wounded and dead and unverifiable death tolls are part of the war and the evidence provided by Israel of tunnels and weapons in hospitals, schools and other civilian buildings does not have the same international impact.
Of course the deaths of Palestinian civilians must be avoided, but it is in everyone's interest to see an end to Hamas and its masters.
