Ana María Ruiz López wins the 6th edition of the FEEL GOOD PRIZE

Isabel Fuentes, director of CaixaForum Madrid, and Jordi Nadal, publisher and founder of Plataforma Editorial, announced the verdict of the 6th edition of the FEEL GOOD PRIZE, awarded to Ana María Ruiz López, with the book 'Libros que salvan vidas' ("Books that save lives").
The FEEL GOOD PRIZETM, organised by Plataforma Editorial and the "la Caixa" Foundation, is a literary competition which aims is to promote optimism among writers and readers, based on stories with authenticity and meaning that transmit joy and well-being, that spread positive ideas and, above all, help to make people stronger, healthier and happier.
The jury, formed by the writer Pep Marí, the winner of the fifth edition, Eduard Sala, and the director of Plataforma Editorial, Jordi Nadal, stressed that in the book 'Libros que salvan vidas' "the experience of light and solidarity, in a dark context with the background of the drama of the new pandemic that affects us all to a greater or lesser extent, is perfectly reflected, with emotion and empathy, but without sentimentality, throughout the pages of the text".

The FEEL GOODTM PRIZE is endowed with 5,000 euros, which the "la Caixa" Foundation assumes fully, and offers the publication of the book in the catalogue of Plataforma Editorial.
'Libros que salvan vidas', is the testimony to the creation of the 'Resistiré' library ("I will survive" library), an initiative awarded the Antonio de Sancha 2020 Prize by the Madrid Publishers' Association, whose main promoter was Ana María Ruiz López, a nurse at SUMMA 112, at the IFEMA field hospital in Madrid. 'Libros que salvan vidas' will be on sale in bookshops from November 11.
On receiving the FEEL GOODTM PRIZE Ana María Ruiz López spoke about the award received: "Winning the FEEL GOODTM PRIZE means that I am sure that my positive and hopeful spirit has reached the jury. I hope that it will also reach the reader directly, since books bridge the distance that we must necessarily have today, but they bring us closer to another story, to other places and to other characters created by the author. They make our imagination fly and give us affection, comfort, embrace and company. FEEL GOOD says it all, to feel good, and that work does not depend only on people, it is also a feature of books, and I have tried to do so with mine".
