Cristina García Rodero and José Luis Gómez, new protagonists of the fourth season of Archivo de Creadores

Cristina García Rodero (Puertollano, 1949) is an essential documentary photographer who offers an anthropological perspective not only on our society, but also on a universal level. Tradition, ethnography and an understanding of the human species through an artistic lens have shaped a first-rate career on the international scene.
She was the first Spanish photographer to join the Magnum agency and in 1996 she was awarded the National Photography Prize. José Luis Gómez (Huelva, 1940) is a key figure in Spanish theatre. Founder of the La Abadía theatre, his interests have gone beyond acting and stage direction to include educational aspects.
He has performed on major stages abroad. He was awarded Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival in 1978, the National Theatre Award in 1988 and has been a member of the Royal Spanish Academy since 2011.

Both creators will present their chapters on 2 June at 7pm at the Cine Estudio del Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. They will do so in a dialogue open to the public, moderated by journalist and writer Jesús Ruíz Mantilla.
The season will be completed with archives dedicated to the writer Javier Cercas (Ibahernando, 1962) and the philosopher Chantal Maillard (Brussels, 1951). The episodes dedicated to Ana Belén (Madrid, 1951) and Rafael Moneo (Tudela, 1937) are already available.

With the arrival of the fourth season, there will now be 26 intellectuals featured in this project. Over the next few years, Archivo de Creadores will select the legacy of the 100 leading creators of Spanish culture from all fields. Filmmakers, writers, actors, musicians, painters and philosophers whose ideas will be collected to guide the steps of future generations. This idea was born from Alberto Anaut, undoubtedly one of the great promoters of Spanish culture in recent years and founder of La Fábrica and a large number of cultural projects that have become benchmarks in our country.
Archivo de Creadores was created with the aim of serving as both a documentary and archival resource and an educational tool. The collaboration of the project's main partners is essential to achieving these objectives.

CaixaForum+, the free online platform of the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation, hosts and preserves the archive of all the complete encounters – with more than 10 hours of conversation – from each of the project's seasons.
In addition, the full conversations are also available in book format in a collection published by La Fábrica. Prime Video, which has also accompanied this project since its inception, now has the 50-minute documentaries from the third season available and has the two previous seasons in its catalogue.
