La Malinche could not have been made without the collaboration of the Mexican government. A musical, the masterpiece of the Spanish genius, composer, singer, record producer and entrepreneur Nacho Cano, and a new creation with Latin talent. Spain, Uruguay, Chile and Mexico are the countries of origin of a melting pot of voices, actors, dancers, lights and sound, which the executive producer of this musical, David Hatchwell Altaras, has described as "the germ of absolute genius".

With the sponsorship of Estrella de Galicia, AeroMéxico, and the close collaboration of INAH (National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico) the creative process of a very mature Nacho Cano, although pizpireto and on the other side of the show as stage director, has always had the required support from the Mexican authorities. "I can't avoid criticism because Malinche (the interpreter of the captain and conqueror Cortés from 1519 to 1521) generates opinion and controversy as Evita did in her day. It's my homage to Mexico, my beloved country, that shakes you to surrealism and with the meaning of each movement, we go to the beautiful part," Cano assures the media.

In less than a week, finally, you will be able to enjoy this play that narrates one of the most significant historical facts to know our past: the birth of miscegenation, narrated through the love story between La Malinche and Hernán Cortés during the conquest of America, a story that gives us to understand our present and enrich our future. Under the lyrics of a song, star of the musical, "Mexico, great and free. Mexico, centre of the Universe...", Nacho Cano began his first press conference, full of media from European and Latin American countries. The play, La Malinche, (intimate advisor of Hernán Cortés, whose fate placed her at the hands of the Spanish Army), was born in 2010, in Miami, the creative basis being the notions of History about the life of Cortés, which the father of the founding member of the group Mecano instilled in him since he was a child. Without forgetting the three years in which he immersed himself in Broadway musicals, where the idea of putting on a great show for the whole family was born. "Malinche is a love story, in which I exalt the soul of the human being in a higher frequency, with the idea that it culminates in sublime beauty".

Nacho Cano did research on the Malinche and entered a creative spiral from which he was not aware of how to get out. "Moctezuma was a wise man, a visionary, a premonitor of what was going to happen", according to Cano. There was a movement of synergies in the universe, in which the god of war gives way to the god of creation. The emperor of the Aztecs, enigmatic and controversial, foretold what was to come. "The key to the celebration of the two worlds is Malinche," he adds.

He never threw in the towel despite unfounded speculation once Nacho Cano showed his support for the president of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, precisely because of her courage in keeping the theatres open during the pandemic, which allowed investors to continue betting on art, cinema and entertainment in general. "I remember that it was an act of personal gratitude, without any favourable treatment, despite the malice of some to make people see what was never there". So maintaining 150 payrolls was an arduous task in the midst of COVID with its de-escalations, but with a lot of fear of contagion. "None of those attacking me were able to keep up their monthly payments. It makes me hot to be attacked".

La Malinche will be consecrated as one of the great masterpieces of Nacho Cano, who signed a work contract for the first time at the age of 17. Constancy in the work is the only condition he has demanded of his entire team with a very exquisite selection of actors. "For something to work, it must have two characteristics, that it is liked and that it works over time".
The only obstacle that Nacho Cano says he has had during the whole creative process, which has lasted more than 11 years, has been himself. "To have reached this point with this cast of professionals has been a triumph. We sell emotions because if the audience doesn't get excited, it's a shame," he concludes.
