María Dueñas presents 'El Ensanche de Tetuán in two novels and a television series' in the Three Cultures Foundation

The university lecturer and novelist María Dueñas, author of the acclaimed work El tiempo entre costuras, whose action takes place partially in the city that is the subject of the course, will present a lecture entitled 'El Ensanche de Tetuán en dos novelas y una serie de televisión'.

This conference, on Thursday 28 September at 10.00 a.m., will offer a cultural approach, in this case from a narrative perspective, to the Moroccan city whose medina has been a World Heritage Site since 1997, and which aspires for the Ensanche, a magnificent example of urban planning (with regionalist, historicist and even modernist contributions from renowned architects) to be included in this declaration of heritage.

This talk is part of the course 'El Ensanche español de Tetuán: patrimonio común, patrimonio de la humanidad', organised by the International University of Andalusia in collaboration with the Three Cultures Foundation of the Mediterranean, the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage and the University of Seville.  Directed by María Dolores López Enamorado, lecturer in the Department of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Seville and delegate for relations with Africa and Arab countries, the course will feature prestigious national and international specialists among its speakers.

The lecture by María Dueñas will be free of charge and open to the public, subject to prior registration at THIS LINK.
