Mediterranean Day, united for peace with the music of Alxaraf, with the Three Cultures Foundation
The Three Cultures Foundation commemorates Mediterranean Day with the music of the group Alxaraf, which will offer a programme focused on the legacy of the three cultures. This musical project is the result of the maturity of a group of artists with significant professional experience.
On this occasion, Tino Van der Sman will perform on flamenco guitar, David Chupete on percussion and Bernardo Miranda as flamenco singer. In this special commemoration, the group will also be joined by Yolanda Osuna performing flamenco dance.
The Alxaraf musical project was born out of the need to remember and highlight the fertile cultural legacy that remained in Andalusia during the golden age of Al-Andalus, where the three cultures and monotheistic religions coexisted peacefully.
This event is part of the agenda of the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Process. It also joins the celebration held by 42 countries as part of the Anna Lindh Foundation's annual event to mark Mediterranean Day.
