The Three Cultures Foundation and the French Institute of Seville, in collaboration with the publishing house Salamandra, are organising the presentation of El silencio y la cólera, by the French writer Pierre Lemaitre, on Thursday 29 February at 19:00, accompanied by the sociologist and writer Rosario Izquierdo.

After the success of The Wide World, Lemaitre continues his thrilling family saga dedicated to the years of the second post-war period with this social novel in which the fate of the characters is marked by the transformations of the 'new' French society and where women are the true protagonists.

Lemaitre has consolidated a brilliant literary career with exceptional critical and public success. One of the heavyweights of current literature with which the Foundation inaugurates its cycle of book presentations, just as it celebrates 25 years of existence of this institution, one of whose hallmarks is the promotion of Mediterranean literature.

Free admission with prior registration at THIS LINK.

Simultaneous translation from French into Spanish will be provided.

Book sale and book signing after the presentation.
