On 4 October, the Three Cultures Foundation and Seville City Council will hold the second edition of the ‘Seville, Land of Diversity’ festival in Perdigones Park, in collaboration with the Macarena District, a neighbourhood that is home to people of more than 40 nationalities.

The day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a parade from the vicinity of the Andalusian Parliament to the park, accompanied by the female musical show ‘Jalearte’, which highlights the role of women in music through percussion.

After the institutional inauguration, there will be a presentation of the educational and participatory show ‘Journey to the World of Dance,’ aimed at children and young people, with dances from Indian, African, flamenco, urban, Oriental, and Brazilian cultures. The festival will then feature a performance by Sidy Samb, a singer, composer and percussionist from Senegal, who will mix African rhythms, flamenco, reggae and soul, reviewing his musical career.

Throughout the morning, around twenty associations, NGOs and neighbourhood groups will have spaces to inform the public about their work and offer activities, bringing the social and cultural diversity of Seville closer to the public.

The ‘Seville, Land of Diversity’ Festival is a celebration of plurality and coexistence, a day full of music, dance and participation open to all.
